Im enrolled in iOS developer program not Mac program, thanks. It says: 'Xcode can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because the version of OS X is too new.' Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance.
I upgraded to Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion), and I'm having a problem installing Xcode 4.3.1 from the Mac App Store. Xcode was first released in 2003, but since then, the application has definitely come a long way in providing efficient development platforms to developers.
Xcode is a great addition for those who are looking for a reliable tool for creating applications for Mac OS as well as the iOS for iPhones and iPad. Id like to trade it in to get an M1 Mini with a 512 GB SSD but I cant find anything definitive on how much the extra 8 GB option is going to help me and if I do. So I have a 2018 Mac mini that is running out of ssd space (<30 GB free of the 256). This is the last version of Xcode supported by OS X Lion (10.7.x) and was released on June 13, 2013. ATTN: M1 owners using Xcode - Mac mini M1 with only 8GB Unified memory.
Theres also a complete guide to Install Homebrew for Mac that explains how to Update Homebrew, Uninstall Homebrew, and keep up with other Housekeeping for Homebrew. It includes the iOS 6.1 SDK and OS X 10.8 SDK. Finally, I explain how to Uninstall Xcode Command Line Tools, Reinstall Xcode Command Line Tools, and provide a List of Xcode Command Line Tools that you can use. You should see 'Xcode 4.6.3' at the top of the list. This is the version that is used for this tutorial. The latest version is XCode 5 is available as a free download on the App Store. Although it can be used for other development as well.
GHC 7.0.2 is compiled against the 10.5 SDK. The later two are provided by the SDK that comes as part of Xcode. GHC needs Xcode to be installed so it has access to the bintools, headers, and link libraries of the platform.
